2007-2008 STEAMBOAT
SPRINGS WINTER & SPRING EVENTS
There’s never a dull moment in Steamboat Springs!
While
Ski Town USA® has long been known for World Class skiing facilities,
Steamboat Springs, Colorado was originally a summer resort. Travelers
in the early 1900s visited Steamboat Springs in the summer months for the
natural hot springs and vast hunting and fishing
opportunities. Today summer activities span the spectrum, with three
championship golf courses, an indoor-outdoor tennis center, biking, hiking,
kayaking, fly fishing, and horseback riding right in town.
Summer also brings a non-stop schedule of events from
outdoor concerts to rodeo, bike races to car shows, even the air is filled
with hot air balloons at our popular Hot Air Balloon Rodeo.
We sure hope you are ready for an action-packed vacation!
With adventure around every corner and activities the whole family can
enjoy, it's hard to imagine how big your "to do list" will be for such a
small, friendly town. Whether you'd like to downhill, cross-country or
snowshoe, you'll find plenty of snow! Looking for a true western experience?
Take a scenic horseback ride or a sleigh ride with the family! Have you ever
wanted to fly? Hop in a hot air balloon! Or just relax at the Hot Springs or
with a massage.
